Kick Axe at the King George Hotel in Melville back in the day was a religious experience. The band was hungry, just on the verge of doing arena tours, and Mike's sound was phenomenal that night. The kick drum hit your chest and practially stopped your heart, and the snare cut through the mix and made you wince every time Vice pounded it. It was fantastic! My ears rumbled for 2 days afterward.... some permanent damage I'm sure. That night was hard rock played better than I've ever heard before or since. Gotta love the first two cuts on IV, nice job. It would be great to see the band on the road.... maybe the Priest tour again after all these years???

I still have the first three orginal cassettes and have been hunting high and low for the CD'c over the years. As one of the local boys (Swift Current, Saskatchewan), I still remember your first video I ever saw which was On The Road To Rock. My friends and I played that video over and over. I'm glad you're back with the new album keep kickin' axe and please re-release all of your old albums.

I had bought Vices and it blew me away. I liked Helix, but I came to see Kick Axe!!! I was so amazed, I started playing guitar. Even though I know it was wrong, I pilfered a few riffs to create my own songs (Dreamin About You and Heavy Metal Shuffle especially!!!). I went to see Helix awhile back and I mentioned to this other guy I met that I would have loved to see Kick Axe with them, and he told me that you guys were reunited, and had this website. I came hoping that there would be a guest book so that I could thank you for "Kick"-starting my music career!!! Thanks guys!

I listened to your MP3 files on your site and they absolutely rock. Your sound is still awesome. So awesome, I ordered your new CD. Can't wait to hear it. Saw you guys in the old Memorial Arena in Victoria when you opened for Whitesnake and Quiet Riot. They sucked...you guys didn't.

Hey There.
Been a while since I visited the website. Come to think of it, the last gig I saw back at home (Winnipeg) was you guys, last year.
A month later I left home to start a new job here in Korea.
All the best

Back in '85, I went to my first concert ever in Kingston, Ontario. It was to see Helix. I hadn't heard of Kick Axe. After the concert I wish I hadn't seen Helix and that it was all Kick Axe! They had the set, you had the ROCK! I went out the next day and bought Welcome To The Club on vinyl and Vices on both cassette and vinyl(*had to have 30 days in the Hole*). Glad to see and hear you're back at it!
