Members of Kick Axe Reunite |

Kick Axe, arguably the best hard rock group to come out of Canada in the eighties, have reunited. The band recorded three previous albums for CBS/Sony Records, performed on several motion picture soundtracks, sold over half of a million records. The members of Kick Axe always intended to re-unite when the time was right and that time is now! In 2000 and 2001, the SongHaus/Rewind(Sony) label re-issued the first two Kick Axe albums on CD. The reviews and sales were surprisingly good, especially since the band had split up 12 years earlier. The third album, Rock the World, has become a rare collectors item and recently several copies sold on Ebay for over 150 USD. There have also been several fan web sites springing up, most notably the Official Kick Axe Fan Site at http://kickaxe.wz.cz. All of these elements and that fact that certain legal hassles that pre
viously rectricted the group from reuniting are no longer an issue.
The group plans on recording a new studio album which features the return of Raymond Harvey on guitar and Gary Langen on vocals. The line up for this album is: Gary Langen: Vocals and additional drums Larry Gillstrom : Guitars and vocals Raymond Harvey: Guitars and vocals Brian Gillstrom: Drums and vocals Victor Langen: Bass and vocals Kick Axe member George Criston was not available to perform on the new album due to prior commitments. |
